"Repent ye, and believe the gospel" - Mark 1:15

Mary and me in Hanley Square

  1. Mary and me in Hanley Square,
    We give 'em tracts, an' preach good news;
    But most o' the time's like we just ain't there,
    Jus' don't realise got souls to lose.
  2. Mary and me week after week,
    Whether it's cold or whether it's hot;
    Th' broken an' wounded, th' strong an' th' weak
    Tell 'em Jesus can remove th' blot.
  3. Mary and me we witness an' tell,
    Love O' God, righteous an' true,
    'Bout Saviour's blood on cross t' heal;
    Makes no diffrence, they'd rather be blue.
  4. Mary and me in Hanley duck,
    Tell 'em 'bout wrath, all 'at they face;
    Long to deliver an' see 'em turn back,
    In our Father's arms, their rightful place.
  5. Mary and me jus' keep on going,
    Lookin' for lives ones, that Jesus'll save;
    Keep on doing what we're doing an' lookin',
    For th' day when God'll open their grave.
  6. Mary and me we got real good news,
    Ya' can come and join us tell 'em too;
    That makes folk happy, takes away th' blues,
    If only like us, they'd trust Him too.
