If Love is just a word
- If Love is just a word,
And self ain't nuthin given;
Then like th' rest, ya just a nerd,
No hope, no hell, no heaven.
- If Love is just a word,
All falls beneath y'r feet;
Ya gotta prove y'r somethin' worth,
To work, t' earn, make y'self neat.
- If Love is just a word,
What makes y' what y' ain't?
Who y' lay, or what y'r worth?
Or th' image that y' paint.
- If Love is really real,
An' made y' for Himself;
What's t' hide, or to conceal,
Y's lookin' really swell.
- If Love is really real,
And gave Himself for you;
Y're not a nerd, y're quite a jewell,
There's nuthin' over due.
- If Love is really real,
An' takes y' as y' are;
Then what's t' fear, that's really real,
When y' loved for what y' are.
