Ye Are My Witnesses
The
Butler testifies to the integrity of Joseph's witness to what God
himself reveals. Joseph testifies further to God, the transcendent God
who knows & holds & controls the future. This is the church's
supreme & only calling to testify that God is God, to bear witness
to what God has revealed of himself in his own revelation in Holy
Scripture.

Interpretation Belongs to God
Joseph
displays amazing patience during his prison term. Pharaoh's got a
troubled spirit, he turns to his pagan priests for answers and finds
them powerless. It is only the church, the regenerate that can
understand God's message.

The Names of Christ
What
do the Bible's names for the Person of Christ mean? Why are there so
many? What does it mean to call upon his name? Of what importance is it
to us, to understand the meaning of his names? Listen and find out!

Genesis 40:1-23 |
Prophetic Dreams
Joseoh
is placed in prison by God's providence and he is placed there for a
purpose. To serve the Lord. Joseph is a prophet fo the Lord, a seer, he
points his fellow-prisoners to the Lord, not himself. To one he is the
savour of life, to the other the savor of death. He is vindicated as a
prophet, God's word, as stated is vindicated, Egypt will know there is
a true prophet in its midst, with a message from God.

Phenomenal Signs & Persecuted Believers
Don't
be deceived by the wars, the disease, the starvation, even earthquakes
and phenomena in the heavens, it's not yet, don't let these Premill's
get you panicked. The end is not yet. All these things are the norm
throughout history's course. And all the way through the church will
suffer, but don't panic, Jesus will be there, and he guarantees you
protection. The best way to protect yourself from deception? Educate
yourself in the truth, God's authoritative word, the only truth

Titus 3:12-15 |
The Conclusion to the Letter
The
Apostle's distribution of manpower left no room for maverick's, it was
deliberate, concentrated. The manpower was distributed according to the
greatest needs and the churches were required to stand on the front
line with the missionaries. Paul finishes with a disposition of love
towards even those who no longer loved him as they once did. He began
and finishes with grace, which alone enables God's folk anywhere to be
what they ought to be.
|
| 30/11/2008 - Morning |
Genesis 39:11-23 |
Hell Hath No Fury
See
here the plain course of sin, the woman persists in spite of the
rejections of Joseph. she becomes controlled, taken over by her lust.
Joseph's takes only escape route open to him, he runs. His reward for
persistent faithfulness? Punishment and shame, locked up and shackled.
But then that was God's intention, in protective custody. The place
where he would meet those who knew the king and introductions that
would lead to his exaltation.
|

Luke 21:5-13 |
Fairy Tale Philosophies & False Religion
Take
heed? Lest you be deceived by the world's fairy tale philosophies,
Darwinism, modernism or post-modernism. Or by by false religions,
especially by the movement of modern evangelicalism towards Rome!
Don't be deceived it is still the seat of the Anti-Christ! Nor by the
false prophets, with their end-time predictions, in and out of the
church. Take heed! You've been warned.
|
| 26/11/2008 - Afternoon |
Titus 3:9-11 |
The Creation of Contention & Strife
The
church must be guarded against everything that causes disturbance of
the fellowship, foolish controversies, distracting us from the real
work. A wise separation must be implemented when the controversialist
will not be brought to belief in the truth. Once, twice, then out the
door, no more of it! Rest assured such perversion of truth comes from
the father of lies, the devil. Paul writes as a man with much church
experience and under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost.
|
| 23/11/2008 - Morning |
Genesis 39:7-11 |
Tempted Yet Without sin
The
temptation of Joseph was to his youthful lust, to a more honourable
position in Egypt, the sky's the limit? But big trouble if he declines
the offer. It was only because of his walk with the Lord, knowing the
holy character of his God, and conscious that this sin would be a real
offense to God. In the modern scene? Adultery is good to go. Boring
marriage? Have an affair. If believers don't keep marriage happy,
exciting, romantic sexually, they're looking for a fall. Only
maintaining a close walk with the Lord will guarantee protecting of
yourself and your marriage. Grace alone!

| 23/11/2008 - Evening |
Luke 21:1-4 |
The Antithesis of Worldliness
The
poor widow furnishes us with a sincere expression of faith, true
worship, over against the glaring hypocrisy of the religious
establishment, with its worldly wisdom. It's not by bread alone we
live, and certainly not by unbelief, it's not material things that
matter. But a life given over to God, wholly, entirely through Jesus
Christ.

Titus 3:1-8 |
The Constant Witness of a Transformed Life
In
submission to the governmental authority ordained of God, being a good
citizen amongst the citizens of this earth. By the grace that brought
salvation to you, constantly witnessing to the fact that you are heir
now to heaven.
|
| 16/11/2008 - Morning |
Genesis 39:1-6 |
The Dynamic in Joseph's Life
The
Lord was with Joseph, deliberating guiding him down to Egypt, even to
Potiphar's house. There he prospered and protected him. That the Lord
was with Joseph, even Potiphar could see, that was evidence enough, all
Potiphar, and unbeliever needs and leaves them without excuse. But
further evidence of the Lord's presence is seen in Joseph's victorious
struggle. God blessed Joseph, and all he was doing within the Egyptian
household, but the blessing was Joseph's in particular, no common
grace. Listen up!

| 16/11/2008 - Evening |
Luke 20:39-47 |
Great David's Greater Son
After
silencing his enemies, this association of evil, he takes the battle to
them, he questions them. Referring to King David, and his reference to
his Lord, Jesus poses the question to them, yet again, who do they say
he is? The ultimate question, get it wrong? Curtains! Following this
further exposition of his Person, he delivers a stark warning to them
against their sanitized worldliness, their sanctimonious greed, he
seriously warns them, the damnation that awaits them! Where's preaching
like this today?

Titus 2:11-15 |
The Summary of Sound Doctrine
The
revelation of grace to all men but not applied to all men. But to those
chosen in sovereign grace, enabled by grace to believe and to persevere
to the finish. This is grace that transforms, purifies the life and
soul of the believer.

The Dearest Idol
Joseph
is brought down to Egypt! But why? Because of Jacob. Have you ever
prayed the words of Cowper's hymn, the dearest idol I have known,
what'er that idol be, help me to tear it from Thy throne and worship
only Thee? And has it ever crossed your mind what it might take to
remove it? God has an agenda! To make his people fit for heaven,
nothing, no matter how long it takes, will stand in his way. Joseph,
for Jacob's future usefulness in God's service and fitness for
heaven, had to be removed.

Luke 20:27-38 |
In the Resurrection
There
are deniers of the resurrection in every generation, it's what natural
man has always believed. When your dead your dead! That's the
philosophy of dead men. But God is the God of the living, he told Moses
that at the burning bush. He's the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob,
those who passed from this world's scene, but were alive then, both to,
and in God. No, one day for the believer, he will be raised, body &
soul reunited in the glory of heaven, changed, not the same, and
changed forever!
|
| 26/10/2008 - Morning |
Genesis 38:1-30 |
Is This of Thy Whoredoms a Small Matter?
The vision-less & selfish church which has strayed from God's covenant
is hardened, loses its discernment. Its vices are seen here too,
perfidious whoredom, gone after other lovers. The promiscuous increase,
it expands, has children, but its offspring are unregenerate, fit for
nothing but judgement. The fruit ecumenical madness, atrocious
evangelism led for decades by an apostate evangelist, Dr. Bily Graham.
Then there's the peril of accommodation, losing its distinctives,
corrupted by intermarriage with heathen idolaters!

Luke 20:19-26 |
What Things Belong to Who?
The
tactics and opposition of the Sanhedrin council, these things belonged
to Satan, most clearly. The spirit of anti-Christ was in them. The
things which belong to Caesar, are a submissive attitude, certainly a
spirit of gratitude, and especially when we enjoy the benefits of a
safe and well-ordered society. For the latter is the duty of the state,
to keep law and order. The things which be God's? Again a submissive
attitude, for he is sovereign over all. We bow the knee to God but not
the state. We obey the state as long as the states will does not clash
with God's.

Romans 3:10 |
The Only Comfort in an Evil World
The
misery of man in this world, pain, suffering, pain, sickness &
death. What will make for his comfort in the midst of all these evils
in life, then the ultimate, death, He must needs know from whence it
comes, the enormity of his own depravity, and the only One who can
deliver him from such. These miseries are the universal experience of
all men. We all know that there's a serious defect in humanity, but
what is the cause and are we prepared to acknowledge it, the universal
moral corruption in us all. It’s everywhere you look. All our attempts
to drown it in whatever way is of no avail. Only one way out! Listen
& find out!

Titus 2:2-10 |
The Standards Set for the Congregation
The
sound doctrine Titus is to preach amongst the Cretans, will have an
effect, amongst the seniors, the juniors, it will even affect them in
their place of work, i.e., employee and employer relationships. The
elderly, both male and female will conduct themselves so as to be an
example the younger. The young men and women will show a stark contrast
to their peers in the world. The integrity and loyaty displayed in the
work-place, will show to all what a beautiful thing the gospel is, and
people will want to be Christians.

Genesis 38:12-30 |
The Righteous Whore
Judah's
casual sex-life continues, trapped in idolatry amongst an idolatrous
people, all except for one person, Tamar, she's a Canaanite, she plays
the whore, but she is righteous, all the way to Jesus Christ in the New
Testament, the covenant line runs. Amazing! Astonishing! Grace!

| 19/10/2008 - Evening |
Luke 20:1-18 |
The Wicked Tenants
Jesus
versus the Sanhedrin council, one of them has got to go, these two cannot
live together. Which will it be? The question of authority, heaven or
earthly? Well, they're the religious hierarchy, they are the very ones
that should know, but their arrant cowards so they won't answer the
question themselves. They had been entrusted with a stewardship that
bore no fruit, what will the Landlord do with them? There is a great
big Stone rolling in their direction and it's going to utterly
pulverize them!

Titus 2:1 |
The Sound Teaching Needed by the Congregation
Titus
must, over against the rebels of chapter one, continues doing what he
has previously been doing, teaching sound, wholesome, healthful
doctrine, that is. This is the education in the truth Paul has been
espousing already, that deals with not just pulling down of error,
heresy etc., but positive, powerful preaching, from which the
congregation gets its energy for good, wholesome, Christian living.
|
| 12/10/2008 - Morning |
Genesis 38:1-11 |
Judah Went Down
From
the covenant home to the world to the idolaters, it wasn't long before
Judah's life was steeped in and controlled by idolatry too. Captured
by lust, his children taken in judgement, he shirks his responsibilities
to his daughter-in-law, just down and down. This, when a man walks out
on God.

Romans 8:37 |
A Gift of Love
God's
entire creation's founded on love, he made people for love, but has
evinced his love more particularly in his Son, the Creator-Redeemer,
the express image of God and his love. It is through the gift of God
that people can be brought to experience the power of his love,
transforming them into creatures of love.

Luke 19:41-48 |
If Thou Hadst Known
Even
at this late stage there is a possibility of peace with God for the
Jews, but the door of grace is closing fast, who'll get through it
before it finally closes? The closure is coming Jesus says, with such
cataclysmic results, not a man, women or child, not a stone will be
left untouched in God's judgement upon them! The second symbolic act in
Jerusalem, the holy City, the Lord of the Temple comes to it and finds
a market place, and den of thieves instead of a place of divine
spiritual worship. What will he do with it? What will he do with
churches today that bear no resemblance to spiritual worship? Listen
and learn!

Mark 1:1 |
There is Some Good News
Gospel
means good news, but it's only good news if you see yourself in the
mirror of God's word. The mirror on the wall's a liar, it only sees the
outside, the image. God looks on the heart, what he sees is not nice,
sin. But the good news is he, in love, has done something to remedy the
heart problem.

The Pastor's Qualities
What
are the qualities for any church officer? Well, here Paul makes it
clear. He's a man not on his own, he has other brethren officers,
pluraity, no one-man bands. He's a man of integrity, one wife, no
sexual laxity. He is a man who knows, stands upon the truth of God's
word, and implements the same in the body of Christ.

They Hated Him Without a Cause
Joseph
wasn't just the preferred son of Jacob, he was the favourite of
heaven. He testified to what God prophetically revealed to him, causing
the wrath, malice and hatred of his brothers, which in the over-ruling
providence of God was the means of bring about exactly what happened to
Joseph. He was taken through the crucible, but all the way he knew the
end was glory, was exaltation, he believed what God had revealed to him.

The King is Coming...But
In
a symbolic act, riding an asses colt into Jerusalem the King comes to
present himself to the royal City. He's coming, but, he's not the
King they want or expect. They are looking for a political figure to
engage in an earthly reign. delivering them from the power of Rome.
This King is coming to die!

The Generations of Esau
What
on earth can you get out of a list of names? You would be surprised!
Then maybe not, because it's God's word. The dreadful consequences
for Esau's family as a result of his unchanged heart, still
contemptuous towards God and his covenant. But, if God keeps his
promise to an ungodly man, and he does, how much more will he keep his
word to his own covenant people?

Luke 19:11-27 |
When the King Returns
He
is going away into a far country, to be crucified raised, ascended, but
after a long time he will come back again. In the meantime he has left
something behind, that's common to all in his church, his word. When
he returns, what will they have done with it. Some will have openly
refuted, rejected it, and they will be judged accordingly. His own
covenant children, will they have used his word faithfully, wisely and
fruitfully, their degree of reward will hang on this one factor, not
the fruitfulness, but their faithfulness, to that word.

The Way of Peace
The
unchangeable Saviour's desire for obdurated, impenitent sinners in
Jerusalem is that they would find the way of peace, himself that is.
Has he changed? Is he not the Lord that changes not? Is not his heart
cry today, that you should find the way of peace?
|
| 14/09/2008 - Morning |
Genesis 35:9-29 |
Magnificent Grace!
The
worship of the covenant community is a reflection of God's face in to
the world. When we don't worship God according to his own agenda, we
alter his face. When we reduce it to a rock n roll lest the clear
message we give the world is that God's just like them. He's not!

Luke 19:1-10 |
Seeking & Saving the Lost
The
sinner was seeking himself, he had the right attitude and he sought in
the right place, where the Saviour could be found. But all this, only
because there was a Saviour who was seeking him. All the while Zaccheus
was known to God, from eternity. He got saved! There was strong
evidence to back this up, the restitution he was willing, desired to
make evinced the reality of his faith in Jesus. He was restored to
God's covenant favour.
|
| 07/09/2008 - Morning |
John 21:1-25 |
Peter's Fall & Restoration
It
was his self-confidence, self-assurance that contributed to Peter's
downfall. But the Saviour in grace comes in a confrontational manner,
not to condemn or destroy but in order to restore him to his rightful
place as a disciple and apostle of Jesus Christ.

| 24/08/2008 - Morning |
Genesis 35:1-8 |
The Return to God
God

and reformation takes place within the covenant family, and again the
blessing begins to flow.

Blind Bartimaeus
With
a persistent faith which expected help from and embraced and exalted
Christ, his request was granted and more. In faith he declared Jesus to
be the Son of David, Messiah, and Jesus concurred with a miraculous
sign, demonstrating himself, indeed to be who and what Bartimaeus
confessed him to be, the Messiah.

| 17/08/2008 - Morning |
Genesis 34:20-31 |
Thou Shalt Not Kill, Nor Steal
The
proposed peace deal of the shechemites is simply a means of gratifying
their own lust, the cultural genocide of Israel. It is not to add to
Israel, or extend the true knowledge of God, but bring Israel down to
their heathen idolatry and away from God. Yet the massacre and the
pillaging enacted by Jacob's sons can in no way be condoned or
justified. All the cost, the result of a man, Jacob, not being right
with his God.

| 17/08/2008 - Evening |
Luke 18:31-34 |
Living On Death Row
God's
revelation in the Old Testament predicted the sufferings of the
Saviour, now about to be accomplished. He, himself prophesies here his
being hand over the Gentiles, the Romans, to the world's judiciary,
where openly and legally they would pronounce him innocent, yet kill
him. After the third day he would be vindicated by his resurrection
from the dead. Christ mad full complete satisfaction for the sins of
his people.

Folly Not to Be Wrought in Israel
The
folly, the wickedness of sexual sin, so prevalent in the church today.
The Folly of ungodly mergers, ecumenical madness, interfaith lunacy.
The folly, the wickedness of sacramental deceit, circumcised, or
baptised paganism. Such wickedness ought not to be wrought in the
church today, any day.

Luke 18:18-30 |
The Iniquitous Power of Wealth
See
here the Saviour engage in proper, thorough evangelistic preaching.
With a penetrating application of the Law, which alone reflects absolute
goodness, the moral excellence of God himself. But the power of the
self life, the things of this life, exclude this man from the eternal
life he so superficially enquired after. But if it's impossible for a
rich man to enter, who then can be saved. For we all desire riches, so
who then can be saved, and how? Listen and find out!

No Other God's
God
warns, threatens, promises & commands. The entirety of his
revelation is given for our benefit. That we might know our true
selves, what are really like, sinful. And they may cause us to see our
greatest need, a Saviour. So there's vices prohibited and there's
virtues promoted, all to make us wise unto salvation, through faith,
which is in Jesus Christ.

The Shaking of All Things
The
One with the power shake the universe, in a little while, will arrest
the attention of all the nations. When he says come, the elect out of
everyone of them, will come. The same God possesses all that's
required for the furtherance of his kingdom, and shall provide it. His
peace shall progress from this seemingly insignificant work, the
unfolding glory of his grace shall spread through the nations, till
that moment, the grand finally, the consummation of his kingdom, with
the second advent of the Son of God.

The Faith That Justifies
The
Pharisee, went to pray, but never made it into the presence of God. He
went home satisfied, self-satisfied. The Publican with his agonising

justified, justified by God. The Pattern? Childlike, unassuming
simpicity and unquestioning trust.

The Inducement to Pray
In

If Thou Canst Believe!
Believing
that is, in Christ alone, his willingness and power to save. The

is, are you able to believe on him. If you are, all things, even your
own, personal salvation is a possibility.

She
